Highlights

  • Arizona State Leader Dave Clement has been busy sending out updates on the legislation before Congress. His message is promoted thru his Facebook and is mailed out to his newsletter subscriber list of 1,500 people.
  • California State Leader John Nobles has been consistently communicating the same legislative message to his Facebook sphere and utilizing the platform established on their radio show to promote the same message—pass the legislation.
  • Louisiana Army Member Richard Flanken called Governor Bobby Jindal and asked his office to purchase only NGVs for future state fleet vehicles.
  • Maryland State Director Chandra Tamirisa is scheduled to speak about the importance of passing the NAT GAS ACT to an upcoming Sierra Club Meeting in Annapolis on 12/4.
  • New York District Leader Jon Hand is giving a persuasive speech in his public speaking class at Pace University this week, and he has chosen to persuade people to sign the Pickens Plan Pledge. He will bring copies of the pledge with him to class and request that people sign them at the end of his speech.
  • Ohio State Leader Veronica Gold, District Leader Jim Pirko, and Army Member John Bazaar are reaching out to Rep. John Boehner, OH-08. They have each contacted his office and in addition are tweeting and contacting radio and TV stations in and around District 8 in an effort to get his attention about the Pickens Plan.
  • Tennessee army member Doug Hampstein visited with Senator Bob Corker’s staff in Washington and asked if Senator Corker would support natural gas legislation. Senator Corker’s staff was “noncommittal” but ensured Doug that Senator Corker is focused on energy legislation that will reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil.
  • Rodney Rooks, VA-07 District Leader, invited Ed Matricardi to speak to a VA-07 tea party meeting on 12/2 about the importance of passing the Nat Gas Act.
