One of the most renowned college football stadiums in the country will host tonight’s Pickens Plan town hall meeting as Boone Pickens travels to the Tuscaloosa home of Alabama’s Crimson Tide.

The town hall meeting will take place at six o’clock in the Zone at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The event is free and open to the public, but seating will be limited. Pickens’s appearance is being sponsored by UA’s Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration.

In a phone interview last week, Pickens told the Tuscaloosa News that America needs and deserves an energy plan. “Every president since Richard Nixon promised to make America independent from foreign oil, and every one of them failed to follow through,” he said.

After presenting his Pickens Plan, which aims to cut oil imports from the Middle East in half, Pickens will then engage in a Q&A with students and faculty.
