Highlights

  • Pennsylvania State Director Mike Johnston and Brian Oram organized a successful meeting of local supporters in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Northeast PA Energy Solutions Expo at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds in Dallas, PA on June 26 – 27, 2010.
  • South Carolina State Director Logan Berry is gathering information from SC statewide candidates (esp. gubernatorial candidates) to determine their position on alternative energy in general and the Pickens Plan in particular.
  • Dave Clement Arizona State Leader will attend Fed Fleet 2010 at the convention center on the July 11th-13th he will be on a panel presenting on CNG infrastructure and make a PowerPoint presentation on the benefits of natural gas as a transportation fuel. He will also host a Renewable Fuels Association workshop on July 23rd in Casa Grande.
  • Arizona State Leader Dave Clement also attended the CNG Goat Gas (http://route66goatgas.com/) event in Flagstaff this week. About CNG Goat Gas: “We invite all who wish to share in a worthwhile adventure to join us on Route 66. A Drive to Inspire will begin in Santa Monica on June 26th and finish in Chicago July 4th. Bring your vision of energy independence and take the drive with us. You can drive the complete trip or just get on board when we come through your area. The journey will have real-time updates for those who wish to follow along through the internet. We plan to have lots of fun, raise a little…. awareness, and maybe even inspire a few people.”
  • Tennessee army member Ryan Bogart gave the Pickens Plan presentation to the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, encouraging attendees to contact Senators Alexander and Corker to co-sponsor S 1408. He also asked member businesses to have their employees/customers sign up at www.pickensplan.com.
