– Tell us about yourself
I am a 2nd generation native of Arizona, our home is built on what was once part of my grandfathers farm, 6 kids, 4 grand kids. I have been working in alternative fuels for 10 years now.
– Why are you a part of the Pickens Plan?
Our 3 youngest kids had breathing problems when they were younger, and I had asthma in my youth. Clean air is of great importance for our family healthwise. Are we going to leave this a better world for our grandkids? Are we going to be subject of foriegn whims with our economy or are we going to be in control of our own destiny?
– Tell us about things you’ve done to promote the Pickens Plan
We have had petition sign up sheets outside at several polling locations during local elections, local district meetings and gathered signatures at several clean air expos. We’ve been to all our local offices for our legislators in Washington. We also shared copies of Boone’s book with our legislators and some of our local leaders.
– Share one idea for what you’d like to accomplish through your work with the Pickens Plan in the next 3 months.
We really need to get the NAT GAS Act passed, we are so lacking in public CNG stations in Arizona, especially outside our Metro areas. There are also no state incentives to help promote the cleaner fuel in Arizona.
