The T. Boone Express traveled to the capital of Connecticut for a Town Hall meeting at Goodwin College, but Rep. John Larson insisted that the first order of business be a pit stop at Augie & Ray’s. For 60 years, the East Hartford eatery has been a mainstay for locals as well as honored guests, and the Connecticut Congressman insisted on sharing the experience with his friend from Texas.

Among the many who packed Augie & Ray’s to enjoy an Augie Doggie was East Hartford Mayor Melody Currey. Like Rep. Larson, who is one of the original cosponsors of the NAT GAS Act, Mayor Currey recognizes the importance of establishing America’s energy security. “We can’t continue to have the dependence we have on oil,” said Mayor Currey.
