The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has proposed comprehensive regulations to allow the construction and operation of new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities. It’s a big step in the right direction, yet there are some who say LNG storage tanks are unsafe.

NYSDEC is holding a hearing where the public will be able to make comments on Wednesday, October 30 at 2:00 pm ET. We are asking members of the Pickens Plan Army to attend the hearing and express your support for the addition of Part 570 to 6 NYCRR. We will be meeting as a group prior to the meeting at 12:30 pm at the Dunkin Donuts on 39 North Pearl Street and will go to the hearing together.
