I can tell you, as you are already well aware, that we still have a huge task at hand. Changing attitudes is very hard. I recently attended an annual mandatory bus driver seminar in Casper (about 800 attendees) and when we drivers were told that some districts were being “encouraged” to purchase nat gas buses there was plenty of skepticism. The logistics of running school buses in Wyoming, where there is plenty of nat gas, but few fueling facilities, are almost overwhelming. I sometimes drive students 600 miles to and from activities and sporting events. Nat Gas buses have very limited range and the initial costs for the buses don’t look very appealing to school boards. Also the underneath storage has to be eliminated to make room for the tanks. We could equip route buses easier than flat-nose activity buses, but that doesn’t seem to be the way the manufacturers are thinking. How can we get this going the right direction?? If ever there was a state that should be leading the way on this, it would be Wyoming.

I have been hanging in with the Pickens Army since you started and three things bother me:

1) we are the Opeckers, those oil field don’t pump unless we make them pump with people and equipment. We could just say $20/barrel is the tops we will pay or we take our equipment and go home. We are in a position of power and we act like servile lackeys. That leaves us bowing to OPEC while moving with less urgency to CNG. Ok, the American companies and my 401K that are making 50% of the OPEC profits would take a hit.

2) why is the trucking industry not on your plan like a chicken on a june bug. I believe in the elegance of enlightened self interest. If the trucking companies started buying new CNG trucks, putting in CNG refueling stations and going around the existing stations I think the switch would become a self-fulfilling prophecy. The economic incentives are there for trucking companies to operate CNG trucks, the cost of the infrastructure should be insignificant. OK as a businessman I would always prefer someone else paid for my system, but if you save them a buck today they won’t wait until someone else pays for it.

3) Where are the environmentalist and their media sycophants, they should be screaming for this, are they all hypocrites or does George Soros own them too. They should be on this like a dog on a bone.

Thank you Boone for the elegance in which you present the Pickens Plan and for having the foresight and the courage to speak out when other around you are silent. Well done.

To have Obama on the video though is a joke, because it’s just words from him for reelection and no actions behind the words. It’s completely obvious that if he really meant what he says, he would be pushing the Picken’s Plan like he did Obamacare. I have no idea in the end what Romney will do, but I know that he can’t do less than Obama, which has been nothing. I do believe that Romney gets the importance of an energy plan more than Obama, but Obama doesn’t have a plan for anything besides getting our country more in debt. Boone’s plan is such common sense, it really shows the idiots we have in Congress and the White House as this country could be doing extremely well economically if they would have implemented Boone’s plan years ago. All Obama talks about is taxing everyone including the energy industry to get more money to spend on his agendas. If he wants more money, pass Boone’s plan that will put hundreds of thousands of TAX PAYING people to work which will generate revenue for the country. Obama is just an idiot when it comes to business and there is no other way to say it. THANK YOU Boone for everything you have done to create the awareness about Natural Gas as being the fuel to save our country in many ways. You are truly a GREAT AMERICAN!!!!!

How can someone like Boone with a clear plan, capital, and access to the right people after 4 years still not have full-fledged support from the institutions that can implement a plan like this. There are entities that do not want a plan like this to be implemented. Those are the barriers that need to be brought down.

Only 2% of the vehicles sold in the last 6 years have “legal” EPA conversion kit because of the EPA regulations. We hope to pass a law in Texas this next year to make all vehicles legal to convert whether there is a certified EPA kit or not. You can see the new law at http://www.cng4america.com/texas-ng-act-2013.html. We will never get it done with only 2% that can even convert.

Lets all keep up the fight for independents from Opec oil and cleaner air.

Cheers,
