Republican senators need to change their ways of thinking to OPEC’s and big oil’s “STATUS QUO.” They are continually taking this country in the “WRONG” direction. Only and only by diversifying the energy sector portfolio in the country that consumes the most energy worldwide will America see future energy independence from OPEC’s market driven globally traded oil prices. If the entire globe relies on only one source of fuel for the world’s transportation needs then it stands to loose in the long run in terms of demand for oil and the surge of prices on a global scale (instant inflation rings the bell fastest). Thus in order for America to be energy independent “WE THE PEOPLE” as a country need to create and distribute new sources of fuel for the transportation sector (i. e. Nat Gas, Electricity for small and light weight vehicles). This way America can have a real alternative types of fuel to fall back on in times of need and/or crisis (i. e. a standoff with Iran). Only development of alternative fuel in the transportation sector and the creation of such refueling infrastructure it needs for it’s existence will heal this country and it’s people from many of it’s problems and ills and create options in times of need. Additionally, electricity created here in the USA CANNOT be sold to OPEC as well as jobs for creating this energy source CANNOT be outsorced to OPEC and other countries, so why not and DO THE PATRIOTIC THING FOR AMERICA AND TURN TO EV’S AND THEIR POTENTIAL in the transportation sector. Obviously, heavy 18 wheeler trucks are best managed on the domestic Nat Gas as these heavy vehicles need a liquid commodity type of fuel in order for it to make sense, although there is no guarantee that future Nat Gas fuel in the transportation sector will NOT be traded globally just like OPEC OIL. It is the best alternative so far for now though in my view. Also the best and THE GREATEST AND MOST PATRIOTIC THING THAT AMERICANS CAN DO FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR COUNTRY IS TO TURN TO DOMESTIC SOURCE OF FUEL THAT CAN’T BE OUTSOURCED AND TRADED ON THE GLOBAL SCALE AND ELECTRICITY FOR EV’S (NO MATTER HOW LESS ATTRACTIVE IN IT’S CURRENT FORM) CAN OFFER EXACTLY THAT. Think as an American Patriot and CHOOSE EV as your next vehicle for your transportation needs. That is INDEED the “MOST PATRIOTIC THING THAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR COUNTRY.”
