Even if OPEC was not a security issue (which it is) and even if natural gas wasn’t cleaner burning (which it is) this bill would still need to pass. Its all about the economy. The rate of return is far better than any other jobs bill, security bill, stimulus bill than any bill congress has come up with in decades. The government will make money on this, not throw it away like they normally do. I would add a bi-fuel tax credit to the bill. Once folks can choose between buying natural gas and putting regular gasoline in the tank, it won;t even be close. Gasoline will have to come down.

(nuclear solutions) The Germans used this technology during the war to fuel the German war machines so it’s not a new concept at all.We have to stop depending on foreign oil or at least slow it down a few notches.

Natural Gas is a no lose solution. It means more jobs for Americans, cheaper fuel for our industries, and an end to our sending billions of dollars overseas to countries that do not share our direct interests. Thank you Mr. Pickens for carrying the ball when no one else seemed to want to.
