Now Mr T Boone Pickens, Can we get your weight behind The Fair Tax? Not to delute the Pickens plan at all, but as long as were trying to help our country, doesn’t it make just as much sense to do away with the IRS and increase revenues by at the very least captureing the underground economy as well as any visitor spending in this country, and like Ross Perott ( He rightly warned if we pass NAFTA, we would here a giant sucking sound of jobs leaving the country) He was right then and the reverse is also right, just sit back and listen to the rushing sound of business bring back their off shore operations back home because the Tax consequences will demand it. Amen?

I too have been on the Pickens Plan from the first time I heard it on FOX NEWS. I still can’t believe Detroit keeps pushing electric automobiles when most Americans don’t want them. Why is Detroit not pushing NATURAL GAS VEHICLES to the American People, which we have enough right here in America. I know for a fact that many Military Bases here in a America use NATURAL GAS VEHICLES, whats that all about.

I, too, have been here since the beginning. The concept made sense… the plan had a clear objective and a defined path… the goals seemed achievable and now our realization is within reach.

To reference Robert Frost, “[we] took the road less traveled and that has made all the difference.” The economy is in bad shape thanks to politicians and those who did not care enough to research the issues and cast a wise vote. To live in a country run by people who will not balance the budget and see only the immediate gratification of their greed in the oil holdings that they have, is a terrible thing indeed, but T. Boone stepped forward, as an oil man, and swam upstream against the status quo to show the leadership what we all needed… and to give a face to the millions of us who are fed up with the prices of fuel, which drives up all of our expenses.

Finally, we are departing the oil field road and heading down a path of renewable energy sources and readily available natural gas, which will help us bridge yesterday’s energy sources to tomorrow’s eco-friendly and financially sensible energy sources. Those in the oil business who failed to foresee the future because they were daydreaming in all of their history classes, will pay the price of being on the backside, or out in the cold, as the waves of new energy sources begin to break all across this country, and the world in general.

We have damaged our world reputation, our environment and our quality of life with the choices that we as a people have made… not the choices of any one president nor any one party, but those of Americans. Now, after three years, we can see the light in the distance… growing stronger and brighter like a lighthouse beacon beckoning to us to guide us home safely.

I only wish that T. Boone would help perfect an economic plan for this country that would bring businesses back to the U.S. and make the U.S. “The Place” to build factories and run companies. The energy plan will help that part of our life somewhat, but we need more and as a savvy business man, T. Boone Pickens might well be the man to help enlighten the people in power who only care about what scraps of power they can garner as our country crumbles around us.

Let’s keep this plan on track. PLEASE … Call, write, e-mail your representatives and senators of your state. we need to get off OPEC oil now. Ask them to pass a bill to extract natural gas.
