T. Boone Pickens was interviewed on CBS Television’s “Early Show” and said oil prices will rise to over $125 per barrel during the first half of 2012 and that gasoline prices at the pump will likely hit $5 per gallon.

Boone reminded CBS viewers that “the cheapest natural gas in the world is in the United States” as he called for Congressional passage of the NAT GAS Act (H.R. 1380). He said it would reduce by half the amount of oil we have to import from OPEC which, otherwise, will total $2.2 trillion over the next 10 years.
