U.S Rep. John Sullivan (R-OK) has issued a press release and a list of 220 businesses which are urging the Congress pass H.R. 1380, the NAT GAS Act.
According to the release, Rep. Sullivan repeated his call for America to “put our addiction to foreign oil behind us by using the cheaper, cleaner, more abundant and American made natural gas sitting under our feet.”
Sullivan said:
“American businesses, large and small, recognize that our $1 billion per day reliance on foreign oil is both an economic and national security risk we simply can’t afford to continue taking.
“The NAT GAS Act answers the call for energy security by jumpstarting a natural gas vehicle marketplace that is long overdue in our country. Its time to stop putting OPEC dictators ahead of American taxpayers and start investing in our own economy and job creation instead.”
