Highlights

  • New York District Leader Jon Hand reports that as a result of his persuasive speech on the Pickens Plan (given two weeks ago for a college class requirement at Pace University) several class members have signed up. In addition, Jon reports that the speech has sparked many discussions with classmates on the Pickens Plan.
  • Regional Director Ed Matricardi followed up with VA Governor Bob McDonnell’s office regarding the Pickens Pledge and a potential Executive Order regarding converting state government fleet vehicles to alternative energy sources – particularly natural gas.
  • Washington District Leader Tom Bougher is attempting to coordinate with other district leaders in WA state for their participation/support in a 2011 Regional Energy Summit to be held in July 2011 in Western Washington.
  • Texas army member Clair Moore talked with new members of the Texas House of Representatives at freshman orientation. She urged them to support natural gas legislation in Texas.
