America’s energy future was front and center in Oklahoma City this week as Boone Pickens joined George Kaiser, Devon Energy CEO John Richels, and SandRidge Energy CEO Tom Ward at the Creativity World Forum to discuss the use of natural gas a bridge fuel to help end America’s dangerous addiction to foreign oil.

Kaiser, who owns Kaiser-Francis Oil Co. and is chairman of BOK Corp., believes that developing the requisite infrastructure needed to fuel natural-gas powered vehicles across America was the sort of national priority that both Democrats and Republicans could agree on.

“There’s one place where Nancy Pelosi and John Boehner agree,” he told the packed crowd at the Cox Convention Center, referring to the outgoing Democrat Speaker of the House and the incoming Republican speaker.

The Tulsa-based CEO added, “I think we have almost universal acceptance of natural gas” as cleaner, more abundant and domestically available than oil.
