Highlights

  • California State Leader John Nobles made a brief presentation to the Spring Valley Lake Country Club Republican Women’s Club. He discussed the Pickens Plan, what it means to be independent from foreign oil and the legislation they can support with calls to their elected officials. Tim Donnelly, California State Assembly-59th District candidate, attended the meeting and indicated his support of the legislation. He will also be a guest on the Restless Republic to discuss his campaign.
  • Ohio District Leaders Jim Pirko and Jim Lewis appeared on WKBN 1400 am on Monday morning. They then attended Boone’s town hall meeting in Cleveland that night.
  • Pennsylvania State Director Mike Johnston continued contacting state, local and federal candidates to determine their position on the Pickens Plan.  He is also checking with the House GOP Caucus and Attorney General (who is the likely incoming Governor) regarding their proposed energy agenda to determine when they are going to submit legislation and whether they have bipartisan support.
  • Boone is giving the Keynote Address at VA Governor Bob McDonnell’s Conference on Energy, titled, “Virginia: the Energy Capital of the East Coast” on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
  • The National Journal hosted a screening of “Haynesville” in Washington, DC on September 27th and DC-area Pickens Plan Leaders attended, including Chandra Tamirisa (MD State Leader).
