Army:
When we first reported for Pickens Plan duty on July 8, 2008, we set out with one goal – reduce our dependence on foreign oil. During the past two years our ranks have grown to more than 1.6 million Army members; we have support from lawmakers at all levels of government from both ends of the political spectrum; and we now have several pieces of legislation making their way through Congress which include major elements of the Pickens Plan.
You may remember my white board presentation from two years ago explaining how the whole plan fit together to reduce our dependence on OPEC oil.
