Highlights

  • A special talk-radio training session was conducted Tuesday, with Ohio State Leader Veronica Gold sharing her experiences ranging from the process of identifying, getting booked, preparing, promoting & interviewing on targeted talk radio shows. Seven District Leaders from the Rust Belt Region attended.
  • Pennsylvania State Director Mike Johnston is organizing a visible presence at the Central PA Marcellus Shale Job Fair on August 27 – 28, 2010. Mike is also looking into the possibility of hosting a screening of the movie Haynesville at the job fair.
  • State Leader of Arizona, Dave Clement, promoted the support of Pickens Plan and the NAT Gas act at Mesa Celebration of Freedom July 3rd. He distributed talking points about the legislation and encouraged people to contact their elected officials in support of the legislation. He also sent out a 4th of July announcement to his newsletter list of 1500 people to support Independence from foreign oil by supporting the NAT GAS act.
  • Georgia State Leader Sam Fleet spoke to 60 members of the Multree, GA Kiwanis Club. She gave them the Pickens Plan presentation, took questions and urged them to contact their elected officials to support the Nat Gas Act.
  • Idaho District Leader Jeremy Boggess has been busy promoting the Pickens Plan in Northern Idaho. Jeremy is running for Idaho State Senate and has been actively placing fliers in the communities he visits while campaigning for office. A major area of focus for Jeremy’s campaign is alternative and American-made energy. Every time he speaks with individuals, businesses, and civic groups, he discusses the Pickens Plan and encourages people to get involved with the fight for energy independence.
  • NY-05 District Leader Jon Hand will be sitting on a panel for the American Jewish Committee (AJC) in Westchester, NY in October to discuss the Pickens Plan and the merits of Natural Gas. Each year their group organizes an energy awareness event in which they inform Westchester County residents of the need to save energy while reducing our need for foreign oil. This year their event will be a panel discussion that focuses on alternative energy sources and how they might reduce our nation’s growing problem/dependency on foreign oil. Their panel will include experts on solar, wind, and nuclear energy.
