Highlights
Army member Tyler-Ryan Smith presented the Pickens Plan to the Emporia, KS Rotary Club. He updated them on the Nat Gas Act, took questions about future Pickens Plan events and urged them to contact their members of Congress in support of HR 1835/S 1408.
Maryland State Director Chandra Tamirisa submitted a Letter to the Editor to the NY Times in response to an article entitled “Security Tops Environment in China’s Energy Plan” at http://nyti.ms/d63xB3.
Pennsylvania State Director Mike Johnston is working with Brian Oram to organize a meeting of local supporters in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Northeast PA Energy Solutions Expo at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds in Dallas, PA on June 26 – 27, 2010.
Ohio State Leader Veronica Gold was invited to present the Pickens Plan and strategies for implementation to listeners of WMAN Radio Station in Mansfield, Ohio on June 25 at 7:05am ET. She was also be available to answer listener’s questions. The event was broadcast live online at http://www.am1400.com/main.html.
NY State Leader Bill Merrell met with New York gubernatorial candidates State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo and Former Congressmen Rick Lazio and discussed supporting the Pickens Plan. He reports that they were both receptive to the Pickens Plan message and he plans on following up with them in the future.
