Army Highlights

  • NY-05 District Leader Jon Hand met with the Joint Landowners Coalition in New York. They held a rally on June 9 at the capitol to support drilling for natural gas in New York state.
  • John Nobles and Wayne Bowser hosted Gregory Kallenberg, Producer of Haynesville on the Green Revolution. The goal is to use the movie as a fundraiser for Gubernatorial candidate Ken Miller. Ken Miller has been speaking about the need to get off foreign oil in his town hall meetings and proclaims himself a member of the Picken’s Army!
  • Arizona State Leader Dave Clement forwarded oil numbers and information to AZEnergy.org and they printed it in an article about the numbers.
  • North Carolina State Director Andrew Rauly sent a 5-question survey to state and federal candidates (in both parties) requesting information about their position on alternative energy in general and the Pickens Plan in particular.
  • Pennsylvania State Director Mike Johnston is working with Brian Oram to organize a meeting of local supporters in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Northeast PA Energy Solutions Expo at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds in Dallas, PA on June 26 – 27, 2010.
  • Regional Leader Geoff Bailey spoke to 75 members of the Dallas Fraternal Society. He presented the Pickens Plan, updated them on the NAT GAS Act and asked them to sign up on PickensPlan.com. He also urged them to contact their member of Congress and urge them to co-sponsor the NAT GAS Act.
