A day which Boone said started at 4 AM ended at about 6 PM with a visit to the Glenn Beck program on the Fox News Channel. The program was hosted by popular former judge Andrew Napolitano.

Boone explained to The Judge why the enormous domestic reserves of natural gas can help power heavy trucks – 18-wheelers – as a substitute for imported diesel.

The appearance on Fox ended a day which included a half-hour appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box program; a taping of a segment for Good Morning America; a appearance before the editorial boards of Forbes Magazine and the Associated Press; remarks at a Bloomberg Forum and then the Fox News appearance.

At each of these events, Boone talked about the Pickens Plan and the progress he and the members of the Pickens Plan Army have made in making the need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil a major legislative push in Washington.

Boone talked about new studies which have shown America has more energy from from domestic reserves of natural gas than Saudi Arabia has from all its oil. The amount of propane, which is largely produced as a by-product of natural gas, is also growing dramatically which has an enormous positive impact on areas which are not served by natural gas pipelines.

On Wednesday, Boone will be in Washington for a “Satellite Media Tour” at which he will appear on nine different local morning TV shows from San Diego, CA to Greensboro, NC. He will then travel to Capitol Hill for an Energy Independence Day event with the nearly 70 House co-sponsors of the NAT GAS Act on the steps of the Capitol. At 11 AM, Boone will join Senators Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader and Senators Robert Menendez of New Jersey and Orrin Hatch of Utah for the introduction of the Senate version of the NAT GAS Act.

Boone will the travel to a meeting celebrating the first anniversary of the Pickens Plan with local members of the Pickens Plan Army at one of Washington’s most iconic eateries: Ben’s Chili Bowl.

After that, he will return to Capitol Hill for a lecture to nearly 200 Congressional Interns to teach them about the need to get America off foreign oil.
