Boone Pickens has consistently said that Americans will solve their own energy issues through innovation and creativity.
According to the Daily Oklahoman:
Developer Rand Elliot announced a wind powered skyscraper concept, called “turbinomics” in Oklahoma City. He said the design already has been reviewed by T. Boone Pickens, who has won national recognition for his efforts to promote alternative energy sources, and Ray Harris, president of Mesa Power.
Both men, Elliott said, were impressed with what they saw.
New and innovative ways to use wind, solar, natural gas and other non-petroleum fuels lead America away from its dependence on foreign oil.
