T. Boone Pickens took the Pickens Plan to the Clean-Tech Investor Summit just outside Palm Springs, California last week. According to reporter Jennifer Kho, Boone’s presentation was “Arguably the most memorable speech” of the conference.
Kho, writing for the CleanTechnica.com website said:
“In a speech peppered with anecdotes about politicians and Pickens’ trademark frankness, he called for the audience to press the Obama administration – as well as their state and local lawmakers – to take real steps toward more energy independence.”
Kho quoted Boone reminding the audience of CEOs of eco-tech companies,
“You cannot get to the conclusion that we can reduce foreign oil in quantities that are meaningful without using natural gas. Natural gas is cheaper and more abundant than oil, it’s cleaner and it’s ours.”
